Our Programs

Leadership Development Academy (LDA)
- First established at J.W. Eater Middle School in Rantoul, IL.
- Formed to address the growing discipline problem with black males
- Since its inception, discipline issues have drastically decreased while academic success has increased
- During the school year, LDA met every Wednesday morning before school to meet guest speakers, weekly team building sessions, and gain leadership skills.

BROTHERS LETS TALK (B.L.T)
Brothers Let’s Talk, gave the brothers in our community an outlet to share life challenges and obstacles while also giving each other inspiration, hope and accountability. The group met on Sunday evenings at the Whip Barber Shop and grew from 9 men to over a 100 men in less than a month.

1000 MEN PRAYING/1000 FAMILIES PRAYING
It a common saying that a family that prays together stays together. This event brought families together in prayer and unity for the sake of the community.

BACKBONE OF THE HOME
You shouldn’t give expecting to receive, but we work hard to make sure good deeds don’t go unnoticed. We host an annual “Father of the Year” awards to encourage and celebrate father involvement in the homes. We also host “Backbone of the Black Home” awards which honor and recognize women who are active in their homes, communities and churches.

COACHING YOUR KIDS INTO DESTINY
Central IL high school coaches shared their personal stories about the student-athlete
process as well of collegiate careers and professional sports careers. Speakers discussed what it takes to succeed academically and athletically at the college level.
